1888 Cincinnati Accordion Program

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,265.00

This eight-sided fold-over scorecard, often referred to by collectors as "accordion style" because of its innovative fold-out design, features a cover portrait of Cincinnati catcher James Keenan, set against an ornate full-color background. The interior is preprinted for a game between Cincinnati and Kansas City, and is unscored. Bright, crisp, and clean, this example is in remarkably high grade for scorecards from this series, as the numerous fold lines natural to the design make these rare scorecards very susceptible to damage. A superb example of one of the most highly prized of all baseball scorecard designs. Excellent condition. Reserve $300. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $1,265.00
