1942 Kansas City Monarchs Team Photograph and 1942 Negro League World Series Ticket

1) Stunning original photograph (9 x 6.25 inches) of the 1942 Negro League Champion Kansas City Monarchs lined up in the dugout. This team includes Satchel Paige and Buck O'Neill. Player identifications are neatly written on reverse. An elaborate June 22, 1942 date stamp also appears on the reverse. This is a simply amazing image of the 1942 Champions. From the archives of the Baltimore Afro-American. 2) The photograph is accompanied by a ticket stub (Vg-Ex) from Game 1 of the 1942 Negro League World Series, September 8, 1942 at Griffith Stadium, in which Paige pitched an 8-0 shutout. This was the first official Negro League World Series game held since 1927. The Monarchs swept the Homestead Grays 4-0 in this first official Negro League World Series held since 1927. This is the first example of this extraordinarily significant ticket we have ever seen. Exceptionally high quality original photograph with flawless contrast, in Excellent to Mint condition.
