1956 PM15 "Yellow Basepath" Hank Aaron PSA MINT 10
Starting Bid - $1,000.00, Sold For - $1,725.00
Graded GEM MINT 10 PSA. Incredible ultra high-grade Mint example of Hank Aaron from the very popular PM15 Yellow Basepath pin set. This is the first and only Hank Aaron PM15 pin that has been graded PSA MINT 10, with none graded higher. Aaron, of course, is one of the keys to the extremely scarce and popular 1956 "Yellow Basepath" pin set, so named because of the surrounding yellow basepaths of their design. Because this is a lithographic pin issue, with the design printed directly on metal, as opposed to a celluloid pin issue, PM15s scratch very easily and are rarely found in high grade. Without question the finest example in the world of this key 1950s baseball pinback. There may never be another PSA 10 of this condition-sensitive rarity. Diameter: 7/8 inch. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$4,000. SOLD FOR $1,725.00
