Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,150.00

Unusual collection of three quality items related to Roger Maris includes: 1) Original 8 x 10 inch photo signed in red ink. Crystal clear image of Maris features him during his rookie season, with his professional model bat in hand and wearing his K.C. Athletics uniform. The signature grades a "7/8" on a scale of "1 to 10." The reverse of the photo is stamped "Maris, Photo By Don Wingfield." The left border has three tiny touches of paper loss, otherwise Near Mint. 2) Circa 1962 advertising poster (11 x 17 inches) for Gold Mine Icicles. Attractive poster features a blue-toned image of Maris at bat in Yankee pinstripes, along with advertising for Gold Mine Icicles (popsicles) in blue and orange. The headline of the poster reads "Home-Run King Roger Maris Says..." The poster is in Near Mint condition. 3) Circa 1962 original Bill Gallo artwork (11.25 x 13.75 inches) features Maris in a suit wearing a "61" tie and handkerchief. Maris is standing in front of a "money bag" with Mantle's head popping out of the top and wearing a money bow tie. The artwork has been signed twice by the artist. Gallo has signed in the lower right, and also inscribed the artwork "To Joe Sullivan, With My Best Wishes - Bill Gallo" in the upper right corner. Excellent condition. Total of three items. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $300. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $1,150.00
