1934 Detroit Tigers Champions Pinback

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $517.50

Ideal example of this classic 1930s baseball souvenir pinback, issued in honor of the NL Champion 1934 Tigers, featuring portraits of Tiger stars Mickey Cochrane and Schoolboy Rowe. This example is the first we have seen with hanging pennant and soft fabric-with-printing "Tigers ball" attachment. There are a few minor imperfections in the form of general wear to the pennant and ball. The celluloid pinback (which for some reason is usually found with foxing) is virtually flawless Mint. Height with pennant and ball: 6.5 inches. Pinback diameter: 1.75 inches. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $517.50
