Rickey Henderson's Signed 939TH Stolen Base Game Ball
Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $690.00
On May 1, 1991 Rickey Henderson became the All-Time Career Stolen Base Leader when he stole his 939th base, passing Lou Brock as the champion base stealer of all time. This OAL (Brown) game ball was used that historic day and has been signed twice by the "Stolen Base King." The ball is signed on the sweet spot ("Rickey Henderson") and signed a second time on a side panel, "5/1/91 Game Ball, Rickey Henderson." Both signatures grade a "9" and the ball has moderate game wear (light soiling, abrasions, and scuffs). An extremely historic game ball, with identifying notations by Rickey Henderson, from his most significant record-breaking game. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $300. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $690.00
