1933 Goudey #1 Bengough PSA NM 7

Starting Bid - $2,000.00, Sold For - $4,600.00

Graded NM 7 by PSA. Beautiful high-grade example of 1933 Goudey card #1 Benny Bengough, the key condition rarity of the 1930s. #1 Bengough is so rare in high grade, of course, because card #1 tended to gravitate toward the top of the stack when collected and organized by kids in 1933, and was naturally subjected to the most wear. Today, most 1933 Goudey set collectors have no choice but to settle for low grade examples of #1 Bengough. Even a Vg Bengough is very respectable. This is a tremendous high-grade example, centered 75/25 L/R, bright and clean, free of creases and surface wear, and with very strong corners. An exceptionally high-grade example of one of card collecting's most sought-after condition rarities. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000/$8,000. SOLD FOR $4,600.00
