City for Conquest and Objective Burma One Sheet Movie Posters

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $1,495.00

Two magnificent factory-fresh one-sheet movie posters, which have obviously never been used, and have survived together. These two Warner Brothers films each date from the 1940s and each star one of Hollywood's most famous leading men (James Cagney and Errol Flynn). 1) City for Conquest was released in 1940. This film stars James Cagney in the leading role. Cagney tries to conquer the city of New York as a boxer, hoping to pay for his younger brother's music lessons. 2) Objective Burma, released in 1945, was one of the great war films of all time. Starring Errol Flynn, this is the story of an American paratroop patrol which lands in enemy-occupied Burma to destroy a radar installation. The "City for Conquest" poster has a light stain visible only on the reverse, otherwise both posters are Near Mint and folded as originally issued. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $1,495.00
