Rare "Marilyn Monroe Miller" Signature Display

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $1,495.00

Extremely rare "Marilyn Monroe Miller" blue-ink signature ("9"), on a decorative slip (3.5 x 2.25 inches). This is an extremely rare form of Marilyn Monroe's signature. Monroe and playwright Arthur Miller were married in 1956 and divorced early in 1961. During this time, Marilyn would star in her most famous movie, the 1959 hit Some Like it Hot. It was very rare for her to sign as "Marilyn Monroe Miller." The decorative signed slip appears to be a gift card form, perhaps for flowers. The signature is beautifully matted and framed with a color photograph (8 x 10 inches) of Marilyn, to total dimensions of 16 x 14.5 inches. Accompanied by a certificate documenting its origin from the estate of Susan Strasberg, one of Marilyn Monroe's closest friends, who passed away in 1999. LOA from James Spence, Steve Grad and John Reznikoff/PSA DNA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $1,495.00
