1958 Marilyn Monroe Twice-Signed Film Agreement
Starting Bid - $2,000.00, Sold For - $4,025.00
Legal document, dated February 26, 1958, signed by Marilyn Monroe twice, once as actress "Marilyn Monroe" and a second time as President of Marilyn Monroe Productions. The typed document relates to copyright issues and her production company's knowledge of any liens against the 1957 film The Prince and the Showgirl, starring Monroe and Laurence Olivier. The document is signed twice in grandiose style on the bottom "Marilyn Monroe" (both signatures grade "9") and contains two imprints of the corporate seal for "Marilyn Monroe Productions, Inc./Corp. State of New York." The letter, on thin white typing paper, displays four small filing hole punches along the top, two of which slightly obscure the date. Both signatures are spectacular, fluid examples. A truly exemplary Marilyn Monroe signed document, directly relating to her glorious Hollywood career, and featuring two virtually flawless Monroe signatures. Excellent condition. LOA from James Spence, Steve Grad and John Reznikoff/PSA DNA. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000/$6,000. SOLD FOR $4,025.00
