Starting Bid - $400.00, Sold For - $1,035.00
15% Nr/Mt, 65% Ex-Mt, 20% range from Vg-Ex to Ex. Issued in 1952, "Look 'n See" is one of the most highly regarded and collected of all postwar sets. The 135 card fronts feature full-color portraits of famous people from all areas of history. The only sports figure in the set is Babe Ruth (Ex). Keys: #30 Lindbergh (Ex-Mt), #45 Earhart (Ex-Mt), and #82 Rembrandt (Vg-Ex, bordering on Ex). Included with the set is the original thin strip of red cellophane, which can be used to reveal the illustrated "answer" to a question about each subject on the reverse of the cards. This classic and always very popular non-sport set is filled with many great historical figures. This is a fresh, clean, sharp-looking set in particularly strong condition for this scarce, early Topps issue. Total 135 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $1,035.00
