1951 Topps Ringside and 1956 Adventure Gum Near-Complete Sets (2)

Two near-complete sets of classic 1950s card issues, 1951 Topps "Ringside" and 1956 "Adventure Gum." Each of these sets are among the very few ever issued featuring the greatest boxers from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: 1) 1951 Topps "Ringside" near-complete set (76 of 96 cards in the set): 40% Ex to Ex-Mt and 60% Vg to Vg-Ex (a few slightly lesser). Keys: #1 Lesnevitch (Fr), 32 Marciano (tiny touch of paper loss on the reverse, o/w Vg-Ex/Ex), 43 Robinson (Vg-Ex/Ex), 69 Sullivan (Ex), 88 Louis (Vg), and 96 Charles (Vg). Missing the following 20 numbers for completion: #2, 3 LaMotta, 7, 9, 17, 31 Walcott, 34 Robinson/Servo, 42, 48, 49 Murphy, 53, 55 Fitzsimmons, 57, 61, 66, 72 Ketchell, 78, 89, 92, and 95 Tunney. 2) 1956 "Adventure Gum" complete set minus one card (99 cards of 100 in the set, includes stars from many different sports including boxing): This near set is highlighted by the rare Max Schmeling card, and missing only card #53 for completion. Straight from vending cases, the set grades 98% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt and 2% Ex-Mt. Keys: #32 Johnson (Nr/Mt), 34 Dempsey (35/65 T/B, o/w Nr/Mt-Mt), 41 Louis (40/60 T/B, o/w Nr/Mt-Mt), 44 Marciano (Nr/Mt-Mt), 55 Agganis (Nr/Mt-Mt), 76 Sullivan (Ex-Mt), 77 Corbett (40/60 L/R, o/w Nr/Mt), and 86 Schmeling (35/65 L/R with a slight tilt, which is very common with this issue, o/w Nr/Mt-Mt).
