Mailing envelope signed by Martin Luther King Jr. is addressed to: Mr. Martin Luther King, 309 South Jackson Street, Montgomery, Alabama. Dr. King and his family lived at this address from 1954 to 1960, which includes the time during which he led the Montgomery, Alabama, Bus Boycott. The envelope is postmarked Sept. 14, 1962 from Mountain Lakes, NJ, and has been stamped by the post office "Moved, Not Forwardable" in the upper left (also written in pencil). This is a very interesting and unusual signed Martin Luther King Jr. item, presented by a dedicated admirer to Dr. King for signing following its return. The envelope is signed Best Wishes, Martin Luther King ("9") in blue ball point pen. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a vital figure of the modern era. His leadership, courage and selfless devotion to the civil rights movement sparked the conscience of a generation, and helped to bring significant changes to the fabric of American life. His charismatic leadership inspired men and women, young and old, in this nation and around the world. The envelope is in Excellent condition and is beautifully matted and framed with a photograph of Dr. King during one of his famous civil rights marches.
