1963 Rolling Stones Signed Promotional Card

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $812.00

Beautifully preserved Rolling Stones promotional photo card (5.5 x 3.5) signed by four of the band's five members. This advertising card was issued by Decca Records in 1963 to promote the Stones' first two singles. Considered by many to be the greatest rock-n-roll band in the world, the group's unparalleled career began with the classic lineup featured here. The obverse features (l-r) Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. Each member, with the exception of Mick Jagger, has signed above or across their image in bold, blue ink: "Keith Richards xxx," "Brian Jones xxx," "Bill Wyman xxx," "Charlie Watts xxx." All signatures grade "10." The verso announces the release of the group's first two singles, covers of Chuck Berry's "Come On" (b/"I Wanna Be Loved," #21 Billboard charts) and Lennon/McCartney's "I Wanna Be Your Man" (b/"Stoned," #12). The rarity here is the signature of Brian Jones, considered the driving force behind the early Stones, who left the group due to drug and emotional problems in early 1969, and tragically died in a mysterious swimming pool accident just months later. In remarkably fine Excellent condition. A tremendous signed promotional piece from the earliest days of The Rolling Stones. LOA from James Spence, Steve Grad & John Reznikoff/PSA DNA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $812.00
