1910s to 1960s Non-Sport Set Collection (26 sets)

This expansive collection of non-sport cards includes complete or nearly complete sets of twenty-six different adventure and entertainment card issues, primarily from the 1950s through the late 1960s, but also including a small selection of earlier issues. Included are many highlights. In detail, and in no particular order, this collection includes the following: 1) 1962 Topps "Civil War News" complete set (88): 90% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 10% Vg to Vg-Ex/Ex; #88 checklist is centered 25/75 right to left, otherwise Ex-Mt. Accompanied by 24 assorted currency bills, all Ex-Mt, including a complete set of 17. Also includes a five-cent "Civil War News" wrapper in Ex-Mt condition. 2) 1959 Fleer "3 Stooges" complete set (96): 80% Ex, 15% Vg-Ex, 5% lesser grades. No checklists. #1, 2 and 3 are all about Ex. Includes wrapper in Excellent condition. 3) 1968 Beatles "Yellow Submarine" (Primrose Confectionery) complete set (50): Nr/Mt-Mt. 4) c. 1968 Beatles "Yellow Submarine" (Anglo Confectionery) complete set (66): Basically Vg. 5) 1964 Topps Beatles "Color" complete set (64): #1 has tape stain on reverse, but set is otherwise Nr/Mt. 6) 1964 Topps Beatles "Black & White" three series complete (#1-165). 90% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 10% Ex. 7) Beatles "Black & White 4th Series" (recent Topps issue) complete #166-215. Nr/Mt. 8) 1964 Topps Beatles "Diary" complete set (60): Most slightly off-center, but otherwise very crisp Nr/Mt. 9) 1964 Topps Beatles "Hard Day's Night" complete set (55): Most with slight miscut, otherwise Ex-Mt. 10) 1964 News Enterprises "Beatles Postcards" complete set of 4 portraits. All Nr/Mt-Mt. 11) 1954 Bowman "U.S. Navy Victories" complete set (48): all blue-print variety. Condition ranges from Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt, averaging Ex. 12) 1957 Topps "Target: Moon" complete set (88): All are "Target: Moon" variety. A few with typical manufacturing blemishes, but overall Nr/Mt. 13) 1962 Mister Softee "Captain Chapel": two complete sets of 10. Both Ex-Mt or better. 14) 1965 Topps "Battle" complete set (66): Nearly all Ex-Mt or better; #65 checklist is Ex; #66 checklist is Ex+. 15) 1967 Topps "Krazy Little Comics" (scarce test issue) complete set (16): All Nr/Mt. 16) F278-19 circa 1952 Post Cereal Roy Rogers "Popouts" complete set (36). All are unpunched. Very rare to find this fragile die cut set in this ideal form. All Ex or better. 17) 1920s Ogden "Pugilists & Wrestlers" Series 1 and 2 complete (#1-75). Ex. 18) Ogden "Champions of 1936" missing #3 of 50-card set. Nr/Mt. 19) 1966 Topps Batman "A" complete set (44): 80% Ex-Mt, 20% Vg-Ex. 20) 1966 Topps Batman "Orange" complete set (55): overall Vg-Ex. 21) 1966 Phoenix Candy "Batman" complete set of 16 cards on 8 boxes: Very unusual uncatalogued package design set. These unused confectionery boxes each feature two colorful cards per box. All 8 boxes are in Near Mint condition. 22) 1910 T53 Hassan "Cowboy Series" series (49 cards): Gd-Vg. 23) 1910 T73 Hassan "Indian Life in the '60's" series (49 cards), missing one card ("Stalking the Antelope") for completion. Gd-Vg. 24) 1967 Primrose Confectionery "Superman" missing #1 in 50-card set. All Nr/Mt. 25) 1966 Topps "Superman" complete set (66): Nr/Mt. Includes Ex-Mt wrapper. 26) Early 1950s F279-15 "Sgt. Preston" (Quaker Oats) complete set of 36 (two series of 18) in Nr/Mt-Mt condition with original mailing envelopes and order-form cards.
