Team composite postcard features 19 members of the St. Louis Americans including Hall of Famers Bobby Wallace and Branch Rickey. The postcard is unused. Vg-Ex/Ex due to corner wear, otherwise in Excellent condition. 2) 1906 Sporting Life Washington Americans Team Composite Postcard. The postcard is unused. Vg-Ex/Ex due to minor surface wear and a strip of age toning along the right border on the reverse. 3) 1908 Art Post Card Co. Detroit Tigers "Our Home Team" foldout postcard. One of a set of highly prized novelty team postcards issued by the Art Post Card Co. featuring players in an "accordian-style" foldout format. The blue cover flips open to reveal a seven-panel section (each 2 x 2.25 inches) with photographs of one or two Tiger stars on each side. Each player is identified, including Hall of Famers Ty Cobb, Sam Crawford, and Hughie Jennings. The postcard has some minor imperfections including a small surface tear in the upper right and light corner wear, but the interior photographs and overall appearance is Excellent. Overall this is an exceptional example from this rare set which, due to its unusual metamorphic design is particularly susceptible to condition problems. The reverse of the postcard has been neatly addressed and has a brief message as intended, but the postcard was never mailed. Vg-Ex. Total 3 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $928.00
