Extraordinary original photograph (13 x 7.25 inches) captures the World Champion 1916 Boston Red Sox in a classic team pose. Included in the photo are Hall of Famers Babe Ruth (seated prominently, center stage in the front row), Harry Hooper, and Herb Pennock. 1916 marked Ruth's second full season in the Majors and his first World Series start. Ruth's league-leading 1.75 ERA and twenty-three victories (against only twelve defeats) helped the Red Sox to their second consecutive World Championship. This is a particularly impressive large-format team photo mounted on a heavy cardboard stock in its original frame (18.5 x 12.5 inches).
