1953 Topps Complete PSA Graded Set (274) with #82 Mantle SGC 92

Highlighted by a world-class Nr/Mt-Mt+ example of key card #82 Mickey Mantle, this tremendous high-grade 1953 Topps complete set of 274 cards is the result of many years of careful assembly, searching and acquiring individual cards, with an experienced eye for quality, centering, and overall visual appeal. Of the 274 cards in the set, 198 (72%) have been professionally graded and encapsulated; 196 of the cards have been graded by PSA with no qualifiers. The two key cards (Mantle and Mays) have been graded by SGC: #82 Mantle NM/MT+ 92 and #244 Mays EX 60. The Mays is a beautiful card. The Mantle is a simply stunning card that is one of the finest we have ever seen, and is literally bordering on Mint. Perfect centering, perfect gloss, sharp corners, flawless reverse, perfect colors. This card is a blazer. Some extremely minor flaw visible under magnification must have kept this gem from Mint status, but it was obviously deemed very close, graded higher than Nr/Mt-Mt by the generous souls at SGC. The overall condition of these cards falls within the Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt range. The majority of the cards are Ex or Ex-Mt with bright, vibrant colors, and superb gloss. The cards are generally very well centered, but exhibit nominal corner wear. Four of these cards have gum stains on the backs.
