1923 Tris Speaker Signed Typewritten Letter

One-page typewritten letter by Tris Speaker, dated July 6, 1923, on official "Cleveland Baseball Company" stationery, regarding the sending of an autographed baseball under separate cover, is boldly signed at the close "Tris Speaker" ("9") in black fountain pen. This letter to sports writer Earl Goodwin reads in part: "Pleased to receive your letter of June 30th reminding me of the promise made regarding autographed baseball and same was mailed to you under date of July 5th, which I trust you will receive in due time..." This is an exceptional signed Speaker letter with the added dimension of being particularly ideal for display with an autographed Speaker ball.
