1952 New York Yankees Signed Album Page with Mantle
Starting Bid - $400.00, Sold For - $928.00
This 1952 New York Yankees team sheet is signed by twelve members of the team: Mickey Mantle, Casey Stengel, Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto, Johnny Mize, Ed Lopat, John Sain, Vic Rashi, Allie Reynolds, Hank Bauer, Bill Miller and Spec Shea (who was traded away from the Yankees early in the 1952 season). Signed in ballpoint pen, the signatures are all strong, grading "9" on a scale of "1" to "10." Vintage signatures of Stengel and Mantle appearing together are particularly scarce. The 1952 Yankees were again World Champions, earning their fourth consecutive World Series title. The size (11 x 8 inches) and format of this team sheet make it ideal for storage in an album, or as part of a framed display. The signed team sheet is accompanied by an original 1952 World Series ticket stub from Game 3 at Yankee Stadium, in which both Yogi Berra and Johnny Mize both hit home runs for the Yankees. Both items are in Excellent condition. Total 2 items. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $928.00
