Circa 1900 Collection of Three Baseball Cigar Boxes

Collection of three rare baseball cigar boxes: 1) Circa 1900 "Genuine Sure Hit" by the Blackney Cigar Company of Saginaw, Michigan, has a very striking interior label picturing a bat hitting a ball. Ex. 2) 1909 "Speedy Curves" cigar box features a very colorful interior label with a pitcher framed by a baseball diamond. A smaller exterior label with the same image also appears on the side of the box. The lid of the box is very slightly warped (which is very common with early wooden cigar boxes). Vg-Ex. 3) Circa 1890 "Ryan's Chumps Fair Ball" cigars features a very colorful interior label with an illustration of a batter, catcher, and umpire. A smaller exterior sealing label with the same illustration wraps around the side of the box. The wooden box is Ex, with various condition problems to the labels but still displays very well. Overall Good condition. The measurements range from 8 to 8.5 inches in length and 2.75 to 4 inches in height. Three rare, quality baseball cigar boxes from the turn of the century. Reserve $400.
