This silver-plated figure of a pitcher stands atop an elaborate baseball mounted to a black wood base with a plaque that reads "The Scranton Times Trophy - 1926 - Petersburg AC." This classic 1920s trophy manufactured by Dieges & Clust shows some light wear, but is still in overall Excellent condition. This is a stunning trophy, one of the most beautiful ever made, and a tremendous example of baseball figural art. Height: 16 inches. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $3,480.00
