Impressive collection of six high-quality vintage Hall of Famer store-model bats, all dating from the 1930s with the exception of Jackie Robinson (1950s): 1) Ty Cobb (34") uncracked. 2) Babe Ruth (36") very slight handle crack. 3) Lou Gehrig (33") very slight upper handle crack that runs into the centerbrand. 4) Jimmie Foxx (36") uncracked. 5) Jim Bottomley (33") upper handle crack that goes through the centerbrand.6) Jackie Robinson (35") black bat with "Leaguer" stamped above Robinson's name on the barrel. These are the style bats that youngsters bought from sporting-goods stores, featuring the names of their heroes. While at a glance similar to game-used bats, there are numerous differences between these models and the bats actually used by players. Store-model bat collecting is a very popular field in its own right, and these bats offer a tremendous value to collectors for display.
