1929 Chicago Cubs World Series Press Pin

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $2,204.00

High-grade example of the 1929 Chicago Cubs World Series press pin. This pin has always been highly regarded both for its rarity (it is one of the most difficult to find of the era) and its very striking design. Produced by the rather obscure Hipp & Coburn Co., this example has flawless enamel, perfectly applied with not a dimple or void to be found, and retains its original fastener. The only flaw that can be found is a very small handling blemish at the perimeter, visible only from the reverse. Near Mint. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $2,204.00
