1921-1931 Lloyd Waner Pro Model Bat

Starting Bid - $1,000.00, Sold For - $5,800.00

Exceptionally rare Hillerich & Bradsby signature model (pre model #) bat composed of white hickory wood (never seen before). The bat exhibits heavy game use including a slight barrel crack (approx. 6 inches). There is a dark one-inch ring around the barrel, just to the right of the centerbrand, a small nail hole on the knob, and a slight discoloration/water stain. These imperfections are detailed for accuracy and are of little consequence with reference to the overall appearance of the bat. Waner hit over .300 in eleven of his eighteen seasons and finished with a lifetime .316 batting average. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1967. Length: 34 inches. Weight: 40 ounces. SCD Authentic Grade: A6. LOAs from Dave Bushing/SCD Authentic and John Taube & Vince Malta/PSA DNA. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000. SOLD FOR $5,800.00
