1950s Ted Williams Moxie Advertising Display

Starting Bid - $400.00, Sold For - $1,624.00

Classic 1950s diecut counter display advertising sign announces "Ted Williams Says: Drink Moxie" and features a head-and-shoulders pose of Ted Williams encouraging youngsters to drink Moxie. Like Berra with Yoo-Hoo, Ted Williams' name will always be associated with Moxie, the soft drink he promoted for over two decades. The cardboard easel back on the reverse allows the sign to stand, just as it did on store checkout counters in the 1950s. The cardboard easel stand on the reverse is complete and intact. This is an outstanding example of one of the most classic of all player-endorsed advertising displays. Dimensions: 11.75 x 13.25 inches. Excellent condition. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $1,624.00
