1996 Jermaine Dye Atlanta Braves Signed Rookie Home Jersey

1996 Jermaine Dye Atlanta Braves home jersey dates from his rookie season. The white knit jersey is lettered "Braves" across the front and features the club's distinctive "Tomahawk" design embroidered directly below. The number "24" appears on the reverse. "Dye" is lettered on the reverse above the number. All letters and numerals are appliquéd in red on navy blue tackle twill with the exception of the name, which is entirely in navy blue. Situated on the left front tail are a "Wilson" label, an adjacent flag tag bearing the size ("46"), and a white strip tag displaying the year ("96") in black stitch. Dye has signed the jersey in black marker ("6") on left front tail. Original and unaltered, the jersey displays light wear throughout. Jermaine Dye, the 2005 World Series MVP, made his Major League debut with Atlanta in 1996. Dye appeared in 98 games with the eventual National League pennant winners, batting .281 with 12 home runs and 37 RBI. The jersey is accompanied by an OAL (Budig) ball signed by Dye in blue ink ("9") across the sweet spot. Graded A5 by MEARS.
