1969-1972 Al Kaline Signed Pro Model Bat

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,160.00

H&B signature model "S2L" bat features Kaline's uniform number ("6") written on the knob in vintage black marker. The bat displays moderate use throughout including a repaired ten-inch crack in the handle. Kaline has signed the bat in black Sharpie (grading "10") on the sweet spot of the barrel, with the notation "1968 World Champs" (not necessarily in Kaline's hand) written directly below his name. Factory records indicate that the last order of these bats was sent to Kaline on 12/29/70. This is an exceptional Kaline gamer with an ideal signature and inscription. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 32 ounces. Graded A7 by MEARS. This bat has been consigned to this auction directly from the personal collection of world-renowned bat authenticator David Bushing. LOAs from Dave Bushing & Troy Kinunen/MEARS and James Spence/JSA and Steve Grad, Mike Gutierrez, Zach Rullo/PSA DNA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $1,160.00
