Circa 1840s/1850s Double-Barreled Swivel Breach Percussion Rifle

Impressive double-barreled rifle features a set trigger and appears to be American in origin, as the decorative brass plates are indicative of the piece having been manufactured in either Kentucky or Pennsylvania. The top barrel (approximately .32 caliber) is rifle barreled, while the bottom one (approximately .58 caliber) is smooth barreled. Each barrel measures thirty-five inches in length and no manufacturer's stampings or markings are visible. The rifle displays normal wear and is in Very Good condition overall. Total length: 51 inches. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,392.00
