Circa 1995 Bob Dylan Handwritten Concert Set List

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,900.00

Written entirely in the hand of Bob Dylan, this 11 x 14.5-cardboard placard features the set list for one of Dylan's live concerts in the early 1990s and includes a number of his most memorable songs including "Heaven's Door," "Rolling Stone" and "Forever Young." The thirteen songs, written in black marker, are (in order): "Joey," "Real You At Last," "Rolling Stone," "Shelter From The Storm," "Maggie's Farm," "I And I," "Forever Young," "Tangled Up In Blue," "Don't Think Twice," "St. Augustine," "Dean Man," "Heaven's Door," and "Rainy Day Woman." After each song Dylan has also noted the key it was to be played in. Set lists such as this are created for nearly all live performances and are usually affixed to a piece of stage or sound equipment where it can easily be seen by the performer. In the upper right hand corner of this list, Dylan has specified where he wanted it placed, "Place on Hood" (referring to the top of the base drum). Following the concert, this list was obtained by Dylan's agent, who in turn presented it directly to a charity sponsored by boxer Evander Holyfield devoted to raising money for children, and our consignor obtained this piece in appreciation for a donation to the charity. A letter of provenance from the consignor, a very well known dealer in original music memorabilia, accompanies. Dylan set lists are quite rare and normally only given to close friends of the fabled singer/song writer. This is a rare, very substantial, and ideal-for-display item from Bob Dylan's legendary Never Ending Tour. The list has been beautifully mounted and framed together with a copy of Dylan's Infidels record album to total dimensions of 34 x 23 inches. The set list (11.25 x 14.5 inches) displays a number of small border tears (not affecting the text) and is in Very Good condition. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500+. SOLD FOR $2,900.00
