Circa 1910 T205 and T206 Tobacco Card Collection (301) Plus P2 Sweet Caporal Pins (46)

Impressive "shoebox" collection includes 301 T205 and T206 tobacco cards plus forty-six P2 Sweet Caporal pins. The 301 tobacco cards are comprised of ninety-six T205 "Gold Borders" and 205 T206 "White Borders," ranging in grade from Fair to Very Good condition. This collection has not seen the light of day in decades and is absolutely loaded with highlights. Included are fifty-two Hall of Famers (among them two Ty Cobbs, two Christy Mathewsons, two Walter Johnsons, two Cy Youngs, etc.) as well as many other high-demand cards. 1) Ninety-six T205 Gold Borders: Forty-nine cards are Vg including Brown, Clarke, Cicotte, Cobb, Collins (mouth closed), Huggins, Jennings, Johnson, Mathewson, McGraw, Speaker, Tinker, Wallace (cap), and Young; twenty-seven cards are Gd including Baker and Evers; twenty cards are lesser grades including Bender and Chance. 2) 205 T206 White Borders: Fifty-three cards are Vg including Bresnahan (portrait), Cobb (bat off), Evers (Chicago), Huggins (portrait), Huggins (hands at mouth), Jennings (both hands), Jennings (one hand), Joss (pitching), Kelley, Kleinow (Boston), McGraw (glove shows), Wheat, Willis (throwing), and Young (glove shows); sixty-three cards are Gd-Vg including Brown (Chicago), Chance (yellow), Crawford (bat), Duffy, Joss (portrait), Lajoie (throwing), McGinnity, McGraw (cap), Wallace, and Walsh; forty-two cards are Gd including Bender (trees), Dahlen (Brooklyn), Griffith (portrait), Griffith (bat), Johnson (portrait), Marquard (pitching), and Willis (portrait); forty-seven are lesser including Chance (bat), Gandil (Black Sox), Lajoie (bat), Marquard (hands at thighs), Mathewson (dark cap), Tinker (bat off), and Waddell (throwing). 3) Forty-six P2 Sweet Caporal Pins: The group grades Vg-Ex/Ex overall with a few slightly lesser. Includes nine Hall of Famers: Bresnahan, Chance, Evers, Huggins, Johnson, Mathewson, Tinker, Wallace, and Wheat. This is a very substantial collection of tobacco cards from the era's most popular and classic sets, with an extraordinarily high concentration of Hall of Famers, and accompanied by a collection of forty-six P2 Sweet Caporal pins.
