1909-1911 T206 Buck Herzog PSA NM-MT 8 (Harris Collection)

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $4,640.00

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Boston variation. Highest-graded example! The offered card is extremely bright and crisp, and presents a strong and impressive image of Herzog that jumps off the blue background. The elaborately designed Boston Nationals team sweater Herzog is wearing has always made this card a favorite for many T206 collectors. This is an important card, both for its strong and widely appreciated visual appeal, and for its being the highest-graded example ever. Centered very slightly to the left (approximately 52/48), this card is bright and clean, with sharp corners, and perfect registration. We have found that the auction selling prices of cards from extremely popular sets with very low populations in the highest grades often sell for far more than SMR, and this is especially the case with classic vintage sets such as the T206 White Borders. SMR is $600. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $4,640.00
