1911 S74 Silks Framed Display (24)

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $1,160.00

A total of twenty-four S74 tobacco silks (twenty different players plus four duplicates) are presented in this beautifully framed display. This collection is comprised entirely of the slightly larger "colored" S74 silks. Included are six HOFers. The manner in which these early tobacco premiums are framed makes this collection a very attractive and artistic presentation worthy of prominent display. The collection is comprised of: two Ames, Bergen, Bresnahan (HOF), Clarke (HOF), two Dahlen, Doyle, Duffy (HOF), Evans, Ewing, two Ford, Griffith (HOF), two Hoblitzell, Hummel, Kling, McGraw (HOF), Phillippe, Raymond, Tinker (HOF), Turner, and Wilson. Because the silks are matted and framed, we cannot grade them; however, the visible area of all twenty-four silks appears Excellent. This is a very attractive collection of these colorful tobacco premiums, which by any measure represent one of the very best values of all 1910 era baseball tobacco issues. Dimensions: 21 x 20 inches. Total 24 silks. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $1,160.00
