1914 E145 Cracker Jack SGC-Graded Hall of Famer Collection (5)
Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $5,510.00
Collection of five 1914 E145 Cracker Jack Hall of Famers, each graded and encapsulated by SGC: 1) #7 Edward Collins (VG 40). Well-centered card with just a little rounding to the corners, and some very light stains on the reverse (which is so common with 1914 Cracker Jack cards). 2) #17 Roger Bresnahan (VG/EX 50). Perfectly clean front and back, with flawless colors, and even wear on all four corners. No creases. 3) #23 Charles Comiskey (VG 40). Centered to-the-left 30/70, and a light crease in each of the top two corners. 4) #75 Miller Huggins (EX 60). Centered slightly to-the-left with bold, crisp colors. Clean front and back with just a slight hint of wear to the four square corners. 5) #133 Branch Rickey (VG/EX 50). One of the few baseball cards ever issued featuring the legendary baseball executive as manager for the St. Louis Americans. Rickey, of course, was responsible for signing Jackie Robinson to become the first black player in professional baseball. Centered slightly to-the-right, with a crease in the top left corner, and a few small, light stains from Cracker Jack near the bottom of the card. These are five high-quality mid-grade Hall of Famers from the extremely condition-sensitive 1914 E145 Cracker Jack series, universally regarded as one of the premier baseball card sets of the early twentieth century. Total 5 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $5,510.00
