1933 R338 Sport Kings Complete Set Graded (48)

Extremely attractive complete set of this classic multi-sport 1930s prewar gum issue, entirely graded and encapsulated by PSA or SGC (unless otherwise noted). Twenty-eight cards range from Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt, twenty cards are Vg or slightly lesser. The PSA grades are as follows: EX-MT 6 (3 cards): #5 Wachter, 35 Rockne, and 41. EX 5 (3 cards): #3 Holman, 6 Thorpe, and 11. VG-EX 4 (14 cards): #7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16 Tilden, 17 Dempsey (GAI VG-EX 4), 24 Morenz, 28, 37, 40, 45 Didrickson, and 46. VG 3 (12 cards): #1 Cobb, 2 Ruth (GAI VG 3), 8 Hagen, 19 Shore, 21 Weissmuller, 23, 27 Turner, 29 Bailey, 31, 32 Lopchick, 33 Burke (Beckett VG 3), and 43 Carnera. GOOD 2 (5 cards): #4 Grange, 20 Kahanamoku, 30 Johnson, 34, and 44 Baer. The SGC grades are as follows: EX+ 70 (1 card): #18 Tunney. EX 60 (2 cards): #25 and 38 Jones. VG/EX 50 (5 cards): #12, 26, 39, 47, and 48 Seppala (last card in set). VG 40 (3 cards): # 22 Sarazen, 36 Hoppe, and 42 Hubbell. This is a beautifully assmbled mixed-grade complete set, with many condition highlights, and with even the lesser-graded cards having a far superior eye appeal than their technically accurate assigned grades.
