This set was assembled one card at a time by a very dedicated condition-conscious collector in the 1980s. The 1950 Bowman set is often overlooked by collectors simply because it does not include a Mantle or Mays rookie, but this was a landmark set in its day, being the first postwar baseball issue to feature full-color artwork instead of photographs. This is a very consistent and extremely attractive high-grade complete set of this classic early Bowman issue. SMR value for the just the fifteen graded cards alone is $3,805. Total 252 cards. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000/$6,000. SOLD FOR $23,200.00
