1966 Topps Vending Hoard (1,000 Cards)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $6,960.00

Crisp, fresh vending hoard of exactly one thousand 1966 Topps baseball cards (straight from two vending boxes). This hoard of vending-fresh high-grade examples could provide the foundation for a high-grade set and at the same time provide quality inventory to trade or fill want lists. A high percentage of these cards are well centered, with the fresh look which vending-quality cards from this era display. Although the numbers range exclusively from 363 through 446 (packaged vending boxes included mixed series), large selections of players and teams are featured, with duplication restricted mostly to single-digit quantities of any one card. We selected nine cards to be graded and encapsulated by PSA: two graded MINT 9, six NM-MT 8, and one NM 7. Hall of Famers and stars included are (quantities are listed in parenthesis): #380 Conigliaro (17), 385 Boyer (16), 386 Hodges (17), 390 B. Robinson (12, including one MINT 9 and one NM-MT 8), 405 Howard (8), 410 Kaline (6, including one MINT 9), 420 Marichal (10, including two NM-MT 8s and one NM 7), 430 Drysdale (13, including three NM-MT 8s), 435 Bunning (8), and Kaat (15). The condition is uniformly high-grade throughout, with a full 80% grading Nr/Mt or better and 20% grading slightly lesser due to centering issues. Most of these cards are suitable candidates for professional grading or ideal for upgrading a high-grade set. Also included are the original vending boxes. Total 1,000 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $6,960.00
