Four unopened Leaf wax cases from 1985, 1986 (2), and 1987, with each case containing 24 boxes, with 36 packs per box, for a total of 864 packs. With each pack containing 12 cards, each case represents a total of 10,368 cards. Donruss issued a 264-card Leaf brand version of its regular card set to be sold in Canada. The Canadian Leaf issue was produced by Donruss in an attempt to expand its share of the Canadian baseball card market. The design is virtually identical to the regular Donruss cards, except for very subtle changes (1985 had a green leaf in the upper left corner). The Leaf issue is much scarcer than its American counterpart. Leaf sets are loaded with rookies and superstars, including Clemens, Puckett, Maddux, Bonds, McGwire, Palmeiro, and many more. The 2006 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards book value for a 1985 Leaf wax box is $45, 1986 Leaf wax box is $20, and 1987 Leaf wax box is $40. The four cases in this lot contain a total of 96 wax boxes with a total book value of $3,000. The original factory seals are intact with typical outer box wear. Total 4 cases (96 boxes, 3,456 packs, and 41,472 cards). Please Note: due to the size and/or weight of this lot, shipping charges may be substantial. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000.
