It is particularly fascinating that Roger Maris has signed this ball simply "Maris." The explanation for this abbreviated last name only signature is a mystery, but may be related to the pressures of the home run race of 1961, during which this ball was signed. Total 4 signed Yankee team balls. LOAs from James Spence/JSA and Steve Grad, Mike Gutierrez & Zach Rullo/PSA DNA. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000.
