Circa 1930s New York Yankees Pennant (Ruth)
Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $580.00
Circa 1930s Yankees pennant is distinguished by the inclusion of an illustrated batting figure that clearly resembles Babe Ruth. This is a particularly rare and unusual design. The blue felt pennant measures 22.5 inches in length and features the team name "New York Yankees" lettered in white to the right of the batting figure. While neither a name or uniform number is associated with the illustration, both the form and batting stance depicted are unmistakably that of Ruth. The pennant has a tiny thumb-tack hole in the "R" of "New York," as well as two tiny thumb-tack holes along the left border, and is otherwise in Excellent condition. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $580.00
