Circa 1955 Musial, Kaline, Aparicio, Erskine Signed Glove/Uniform Display Boxes (3)

Collection of three rare vintage player endorsed baseball products, each ideal for display and each personally inscribed to Barry Halper by the respective player(s) pictured on the box. 1) The highlight of the collection is a circa 1955 retail box for a Rawlings Stan Musial model PMM youth baseball glove. All four sides of the box, as well as the lid, picture “Stan The Man” and he has inscribed the lid in blue marker (“6”), “To Barry – Best Wishes – Stan Musial.” One of the side panels is also signed in blue marker (“7”) by Musial. The box (8.5 x 8.5 x 6.5 inches) displays beautifully. Close examination reveals some very light water staining, as well as a scribbled ink notation on one side panel. In Good to Very Good condition. 2) Circa 1955 Nokona Carl Erskine youth baseball glove box. The side panel label features a photo of Erskine and has been inscribed in blue marker (“9”) “To Barry – Best personal regards – Carl Erskine.” The box (8.5 x 8.5 x 6.5 inches) displays light wear and is in Very Good to Excellent condition. The glove is included and is in Good to Very Good condition. 3) A Wilson “Famous Player” youth baseball uniform that is endorsed on the box lid by both Al Kaline and Luis Aparicio. Year unknown, appears to be circa 1960. The lid features illustrations of each player and has been inscribed, respectively, in blue marker by Kaline (“To Barry – Best Wishes – Your Friend – Al Kaline”) and Aparicio (“To my pal Barry – a real nice item – your friend Luis Aparicio”). Each inscription grades “6.” The box (13 x 9.5 x 3 inches) displays moderate wear, including a few abrasions, and is in Good to Very Good condition. The uniform is included and consists of a jersey, pants and cap, each of which displays heavy use. In Good condition overall. From the Barry Halper Collection. LOA from James Spence/JSA.
