DiMaggio, Mantle, Mays, and Snider Signed Items (3)

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $1,410.00

Collection of three pieces signed, in some combination, by New York’s four greatest center fielders: Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, and Duke Snider. 1) 8 x 10-inch color photo of Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle posing together (in formal attire) at Yankee Stadium. The photo has been signed in blue marker by both players above their respective image. Each signature has been boldly penned and grades “10.” A small tear and a few light creases in the upper left corner affect the “M” in “Mickey.” The photo also displays a tiny chip in the upper right corner. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. This photo, which probably dates from Mickey Mantle Day, held on June 8, 1969, was one of Barry’s favorite signed photos of the pair and it was proudly displayed in his collection for over three decades. 2) 15.25 x 19.25-inch illustrated poster, created by artist Flip Amato and licensed by Major League Baseball, picturing the famed trio of “Willie, Mickey and the Duke.” It is signed in blue Sharpie (“9/10”) by Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, and Duke Snider. In Excellent to Mint condition. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 25.75 x 21.75 inches. 3) Limited-edition record album, numbered “991,” of the song Willie, Mickey & The Duke (Talkin’ Baseball) by Terry Cashman. The record jacket (12.25 x 12.25 inches) has been signed on the front in blue Sharpie (“10”) by Mickey Mantle, Duke Snider, and Willie Mays. Issued in 1981 by Lifesong Records Inc.
