1983-1985 Reggie Jackson Pro Model Bat
Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,175.00
Graded a perfect A10 by Mears, this Reggie Jackson bat has the provenance of originating from the personal collection of fellow Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda. The H&B signature model C243 bat displays heavy use including deeply embedded ball and stitch marks, grain swelling, rack marks and light pine tar on the handle. The bat also displays a number of small circular indentations along the front of the barrel that do not detract in the least from its overall display value. Accompanying the bat is a certificate of authenticity signed by Orlando Cepeda that states, in part, that this bat “…was part of my personal memorabilia and that it was game used and given to me by Reggie Jackson.” Jackson was a member of the California Angels during the period 1983 to 1985. Although nearing the end of his legendary career, that three year span witnessed him becoming the thirteenth player in Major League history to hit over 500 home runs. He eventually finished his career with 563 home runs, a total which currently ranks tenth on the all-time list. Length: 34.25 inches. Weight: 32 ounces. Graded A10 by MEARS. LOA from Dave Bushing & Troy Kinunen/MEARS. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,175.00
