LeRoy Neiman Limited-Edition Signed Tennis-Theme Serigraphs (3)
Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,527.50
Collection of three limited-edition LeRoy Neiman signed serigraphs, each with a tennis theme, all of which are highly desirable artist's proofs. Each serigraph has been signed by Neiman in pencil in the lower right and is hand labeled "A.P." (artist's proof) in the lower left. 1) Deuce , issued in 1972, edition limited to 275 numbered impressions plus an unknown quantity of artist's proofs, 19.5 x 26 inches, matted to total dimensions of 30 x 36.5 inches. Deuce is one of the earliest of all LeRoy Neiman serigraphs. 2) Sweet Serve , issued in 1980, edition limited to 459 total impressions (300 numbered impressions, 50 artist's proofs, 50 printers proofs and 9 publisher's proofs), 18 x 36 inches, matted to total dimensions of 27.5 x 46 inches, accompanied by an LOA from Knoedler Publishing LLC. 3) Blood Tennis , issued in 1980, edition limited to 275 numbered impressions plus 50 artist's proofs, 23 x 28.87 inches. All three serigraphs are in Mint condition. These are extremely impressive for display individually, as intended. As a trio, the display value of these three tennis-theme serigraphs is even greater than the sum of its parts. Consigned by an advanced collector who is redecorating, the gallery price for these three serigraphs (if they could be found; Deuce , in particular, would be very difficult to find) would be a multiple of the high-end estimate for this lot. Total: 3 signed limited-edition serigraphs. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500+. SOLD FOR $1,527.50
