1997/98 Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls Shooting Shirt

Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls shooting shirt dating from the 1997/1998 season. The black-knit pullover jersey, trimmed in white and black, is lettered "Chicago" across the front and features the team logo embroidered on the reverse. All letters are appliquéd in red on white tackle twill. Situated on the left front tail is a Nike label bearing the size "2XL." Next to the size, written in black laundry marker, is Jordan's number "23." The number "23" is also written in black laundry marker on the underside of the Nike label in the collar. A flag tag, reading "1997-98," and laundry tag are both located on the interior left-side seam. The 1997/98 season was Jordan's final season with Chicago and he finished with a flourish. Jordan averaged 28.7 points per game in leading the Bulls to their sixth World Championship during his thirteen-year tenure with the club. His outstanding regular-season numbers also earned him his fifth and final MVP Award. A shooting shirt offers the collector an outstanding opportunity to acquire a very substantial team-issued garment at the fraction of the cost of a game jersey. This is a significant team-issued garment dating from Michael Jordan's final season in Chicago.
