1910-Era Hall of Famer SGC Graded Collection (4)

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $1,645.00

Collection of four cards of key Hall of Famers, from four different highly regarded 1911-1916 issues. We have submitted each card to SGC for grading: 1) 1911 T205 Gold Borders: Zach Wheat (EX 60; bright and clean, with just a hint of white in the corners). 2) 1912 T202 Triple Folders: #88 Johnson/Knight (VG 40; centered slightly to the top border, with bright colors, four square corners, and very sharp registration, and a couple of very light vertical surface creases. Great looking card, especially for this grade). 3) 1913 WG6 Tom Barker: Honus Wagner (VG 40; excellent appearance, downgraded due to a couple of tiny pencil marks on reverse and a tiny crease in the lower right corner. We grade this card Vg-Ex). 4) 1916 Famous and Barr: #35 Charles Comisky (EX 60; bright and crisp with square corners, flawless picture quality and contrast, and a boldly printed "Famous and Barr Co." advertisement on the reverse, centered slightly to the right). This is an impressive-looking collection of Hall of Famers from four significant prewar card sets. Total 4 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $1,645.00
