1910 E90-2 American Caramel PSA Graded Collection (8)
Starting Bid - $1,000.00, Sold For - $15,275.00
Presented is an extraordinary near-complete set of 1910 E90-2 American Caramel Pirates: eight different of the eleven cards in the set (missing only Wagner, Clarke, and Gibson for completion), all graded by PSA. Six of the eight cards are the highest graded examples in the PSA Population Report. This is an amazing collection of these extremely distinctive and rare "E" cards featuring members of the World Champion 1910 Pittsburgh Pirates. All are extremely attractive high-grade examples with exceptional eye appeal: Babe Adams (PSA EX 5), Ham Hyatt (PSA EX-MT 6), Tommy Leach (PSA EX 5), Sam Leever (PSA VG 3), Nick Maddox (PSA EX 5), Dots Miller (PSA EX 5), Deacon Phillipe (PSA EX-MT 6), and Owen Wilson (PSA VG-EX 4). Few caramel-card issues are as distinctive as E90-2 American Caramel Company cards. While closely related to the popular E90-1 American Caramel series, E90-2 is a separate set. All feature portraits of Pittsburgh Pirates players. The quality of the artworks which appear in E90-2 are among the most detailed of all caramel cards, and are far superior in quality at even a glance to that of most other caramel cards (including E90-1) and other card issues of the era. A rare opportunity to acquire a near-complete set of eight different cards from one of the best of all 1910-era candy issues. Total 8 cards.
Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000.
