1914 E145 Cracker Jack PSA-Graded Collection (8)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,937.50

Collection of eight different 1914 E145 Cracker Jack cards including Hall of Famers Johnny Evers and Charles Comiskey, each graded and encapsulated by PSA. The 1914 #144 series Cracker Jacks are far rarer than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 cards were not available by mail, and could only be obtained one card per package in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Because of their method of issue, 1914 Cracker Jacks are also almost always found with various condition problems including caramel staining. Consists of : #18 Johnny Evers (HOF - PSA VG-EX 4. Perfectly clean front and back, with flawless colors, and even wear on all four corners. No creases. Slight tilt to the picture and centered 40/60 left to right), 23 Charles Comiskey (HOF - PSA EX 5. Centered slightly to the left with bold, crisp colors. Clean front and back with just slight even wear to the four corners), 62 Cashion (PSA VG-EX 4. Particularly sharp-looking card with no caramel staining, looks Ex), 63 Adams (PSA EX 5. This card is a beauty with just the slightest hint if caramel staining in a couple of small spots visible on the reverse only), 67 Crandall (PSA EX-MT 6. This card is generously graded in our opinion due to caramel staining but is still a great looking card), 102 Fisher (PSA VG-EX 4), 115 Brennan (PSA VG 3. Downgraded due to tiny bite in upper left corner), and 144 (PSA VG-EX 4. Last card in the set). This is a very pleasing mid-grade collection of 1914 Cracker Jacks highlighted by two very pleasing high-quality Hall of Famers. The SMR value for seven of the eight cards (not including the one VG 3) is $1,985. Total 8 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $2,937.50
