Baseball as a sport has been well represented in card sets all over the world. Presented is a very unusual collection of thirty different baseball cards, spanning the years 1901 to 1967, from various countries including England, Germany, Japan, and America. Almost all of these cards are from sets with just a card or two featuring a generic representation of America's National Game. Several cards feature specific ballplayers, including Babe Ruth and George Sisler. 1) 1901 Wills "Sports of All Nations" (England): #33 America, Baseball (Vg-Ex). 2) 1923 Nicolas Sarony & Co. "Origin of Games" (England): #11 Rounders (Ex). 3) 1925 Turf Cigarettes "Sports Records" (England): #50 George Sisler (Vg-Ex). 4) 1928 Major Drapkin & Co. "The Game of Sporting Snap" (England, 4 cards): #21 The Striker (Vg-Ex), 22 The Home Run (Ex-Mt), 23 The Pitcher (Ex), and 24 The Catcher (Ex). 5) 1929 Churchman "Sports & Games in Many Lands" (England): #25 Babe Ruth (tiny pinhole near the upper right corner, otherwise Ex). 6) Circa 1935 Schutter-Johnson Candy "I'm Going To Be" (USA): #19 Baseball Player (Ex). 7) 1932 Rowntree Chocolate "Treasure Trove" Pictures (England): #12 The American National Game - Base-ball (Ex). 8) 1932 Sanella Margarine (Germany, 2 cards): Babe Ruth (Vg-Ex) and Japanese Olympic Player (Ex). 9) 1936 German Olympia Card: Baseball (Ex). 10) 1949 Gallina Blanca (Spain, 3 cards).
