1968 O-Pee-Chee Complete Set: #1 PSA Registry! (196)

Starting Bid - $800.00, Sold For - $3,818.75

Unbelievably ultra high-grade complete 196-card set of 1968 O-Pee-Chee cards. This is the finest set in the world and the number-one set on the PSA Registry! This very scarce set was issued regionally only in Canada. This particular set is one of the toughest of all O-Pee-Chee baseball issues. Thirteen cards are naturally factory miscut, which is very common for this series. Most of the cards graded PSA 4 and PSA 5 in the set have a factory "printer's line" (similar to a crease), and most examples we have seen naturally come with this defect. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by PSA. The set includes one PSA 10, twenty-two PSA 9s, eighty-five PSA 8s, forty-two PSA 7s, nineteen PSA 6s, thirteen PSA 5s, two PSA 4s, and twelve cards have been encapsulated as “Authentic” by PSA. The PSA registry overall weighted GPA rating is 6.99. A set like this does not just happen to come together by chance, especially for O-Pee-Chee baseball. This set has been assembled by an extremely dedicated collector with a special interest in this set over a period of years. This is an extraordinary set. The PSA grades are as follows: One GEM MT 10: #68. Twenty-Two MINT 9: #1, 11, 14, 49, 57, 69, 73, 106, 108, 111, 114, 119 (OC), 124, 128, 133, 135, 138, 144 Morgan, 155, 159, 166, and 169.
